Book Review- More Than Fiends by Maureen Child

If you are looking for a fun read pick up this book. It a light hearted story with some dark and dangerous demons.
Cassidy Burke is a single mom with her own cleaning business. When she finds out the women in her family are destine to be Demon Dusters and save the world she really has her hands full. Add a sexy new client who has more than business on his mind with a hunk of an ex lover who happens to be the father she never told her daughter about and all hell is about to break loose in the sleepy little town of La Sombra.
Loved this book but even better I just checked out Maureen Child's site and found out there's a sequel. Whooo Hoooo!
If you are looking for a good laugh pick up this book and read how Cassidy maintains her cleaning biz, reels in the sexy new client (in more ways then one) and handles her hunky ex lover while she dusts demons on the side.

Hi there! I've "seen" you around my other favorite blogs, so I stopped by to say hello! :-)

And Maureen's Demon Duster books rock! You're so right about her voice. She cracks me up.

BUT, she also awesome at writing dark, suspenseful and emotional stories as well. Have you read any of them? Sigh. I often tease her for making me cry...I'm soooo not a crier. There's certainly a reason she's had over a 100 books published! LOL. She's a writing goddess.

Love your blog!

Michele

P.S. Great pic of the squirrel below...LOL

Michele, Hi! I was at an RWA meeting and Caridad Pinero was signing books. She did a Christmas Vampire book with Maureen Child so I read her for the first time in that book. I loved her voice so much that I grabbed up More Then Fiends when I saw it. I'm definately going to pick up the sequel. I love dark suspense, so thanks for that tip. I'll look for those too.

Zoe,
I think Maureen Child has one of those voices that makes you forget you're reading. She sucks you right into her world. I'm still thinking about her characters which just shows us she did her job.

Oh, the Christmas Vampire novella! She was just nominated for a RITA with that story. :-) Her other Nocturnes venture into the world of the Immortal Guardians--awesome!! (IMHO, of course. LOL)
